PEER European network organized the 14th, 15th and 16th of November 2005 in Montpellier (France) the seminar "Global Earth Observation and Environmental Monitoring : the role of geoinformation " with participation of the EU Commission (DG Research).

During two days, this seminar has joined together prescribers and scientists. European Commission representatives, European Agency of the Environment, JRC/IES as well as scientific representatives of the 7 PEER research institutes but also University of Laval (Canada) and Environmental Protection Agency (USA) hava participated. The PEER seminar was opened to the scientific community in geoinformation and not exclusively to the PEER members.
